After two years of work it is finally done. 13 songs have been written in the last years and recently. This time I experimented on brass sections and I started to like it. So there are four songs with trumpet, trombone and sax sections (tracks 5, 8, 9, 11). Furthermore I tried to build a kind of band like in the seventies with organ and piano, but I used violin and accordion sounds as well. The lyrics deals with normal people again who try to change something or experienced changes in their life. Nevertheless the album is also called "Changes" as we are living in changing times now. I'd like to thank Torben Janz, Jens Anderstein and Michael Kowalczyk who have supported me live on stage in the last years. Michael played the lead guitar on tracks 1, 3, 8, 9 and 10. And I'd like to thank Martin Nickel for playing the lead guitar on track 2, 4, 5, 10 and 12. Especially I would like to say thank you to my wife who had to cope with the loud sound in our small house. Thank you very much that you support me. And thanks to all the people who have come to our concerts and gave us their support. Stay tuned and best regards M

After two powerful rock records, I got the idea for an acoustic album. Because I wanted to focus on the lyrics, on the stories of the songs. I wanted to keep it simple, clear and not so loud with just guitars, piano, drums and a bass but I couldn‘t stop myself and then put a lot of more stuff on. Now we have songs with a violin, a flute, a glockenspiel, an accordion and a lot of other small acoustic instruments. However, an electric guitar and drum-machines are used as well. This is why the album is called „The Acoustic Walk—pimped and tuned“. But still it has got these acoustic features. The included “Acoustic Session Tapes“ are the recordings of Michael and me on a cold and windy Saturday. Just two guitars and our voices. As simple as that. These are songs from the previous records “Bremen-Adelaide” and “Rumble in The Jungle”. I‘d like to thank the band in the name of Jens Anderstein, Tobias Tietjen and Mighty Michael for their inspiration and ideas. Especially I would like to thank Michael who actually co-produced this album. And many thanks to everybody who supports my music. And of course to my wife who tries to cope with the loudness in our house. Best regards M

This album contains powerful pop-rock songs with straight forward direct lyrics as well as emotional songs. This CD is good for partying, relaxing, being romantic or listening to it while driving on the highway. It tells stories of ordinary people who experienced the best and also the worst in life. People who lost their jobs but try to go on with their life. And it is about people who got fooled by others but keep on fighting for their life and their rights. Again, in this album you find hints about Australia like in the song "Remember the time" which is simply the story how I met my wife. All songs are written by Mirko Meyer. I'd like to thank Kai Hofmann who played lead guitar on "What's up, Sam?" and Konstatin Kühn who played lead guitar on "We Are Trapped".
