Author Informations

Authors profile
Jürgen Borrmann, born 1959, is a physiotherapist and lives in a childless marriage in his hometown of Düsseldorf. Since early youth, composing and lyrics is one of his creative leisure activities. At school, Borrmann made himself unpopular with many teachers; as soon as he felt something was unfair, he fell into the house with a highly undiplomatic voice and interfered. In the 80s and 90s he was active in the field of blind and professional associations, founded the initiative "Law Against Law" with friends and was also active in the extra-parliamentary area. Since 2004, his wife and he are non-partisan in the fields of urban development, traffic and noise control active. The couple has been publishing the online magazine "The state of affairs" on www.fb-i-web.de for a number of years on these and other topics. In 2006 both became big darts fans and play Elektrodart on a board with voice output. The blind are good to follow darts tournaments in the hall or on TV, because a caller calls the points. In 2009, the Düsseldorf based, supported by great musicians, his first solo album Welcome to ... finished, he made his debut in 2017 as a book author with blind flight in 2014. Jürgen Borrmann makes no secret of the fact that the book was not planned and how it came to: In October 2014, I summarized on three pages for a few handpicked friends and acquaintances some impressions of my first tandem parachute jump together. Frankly, the unusually positive echo led me to the idea of extending the summary on a trial basis. An exciting experience, because I enjoyed the freedoms of a book author during which I had to tell a story in three minutes as a songwriter. As different as they are; I like both disciplines and both taste more."

How much overcoming does it cost to leave an intact aircraft early? Is a parachute jump for the blind like a fall into nothingness? How does it feel to crash in free fall without brakes? A tandem parachute jump requires blind trust. Why does that apply to Jürgen Borrmann twice, he describes in Blindflug 2014. I am now as delusional as a tuna in the can because of a degenerative retinal disease. With the impressions of his remaining senses, he has the readers with wit and humor to the events that occur before and on the jump day, part. However, not everything went smoothly, not even between heaven and earth.
