Introduced to each other through a mutual friend in 2007, Jorge Watts & Sonny Fodera has built a solid working relationship in the studio in such a short period of time. Both have received large acclaim from past and more recent musical productions on labels such as Global Trax, Subsounds, WET Musik, 1200 Traxx, Lingo Recordings, Blockhead Recordings, Hard Hat Recordings, Random Access Recordings Detroit, Thrillseekers, Undefined Australia and Vast Recordings. Sonny & Jorge have come together to forge a new sound going under the moniker of ‘The Subjekts’.
Their solo releases to date have appeared in the play lists and charts of DJ's Carl Cox, Dj Sneak, Slam, Dj Rush, Derrick Carter, Paul Mac (UK), Cristian Varela, Inigo Kennedy, Steve Bicknell, Dj Lucca, Glasgow’s Craig Hamilton and Chicago's .Dotbleep head honcho Justin Long, to name but a few. Jorge’s Loop Killaz Wet musik release “Down Underground ep” was big being licensed on Misstress Barbara, Dj Lucca and Dj Misjah mix cd’s and sitting firmly in Carl Cox’s top tens and appearing on the Carl Cox and Friends 2004 Ahoy, Rotterdam DVD alongside their Hard Hat release “PM 2 AM”.
Having worked solidly in the studio together, they first came out with the ‘SKUNKY MONKEY EP’ which was signed on its immediate output to labels, by Scottish house outfit ‘Flatpack Traxx’. Since their initial release the boys have further pushed their sound into what has evolved into their bass rumbling, sonically addictive tech house / techno styled beats. With this evolution their first Subjekts EP ‘Bouncer EP’ was signed straight to Italian label Raw Trax. Their second project being the ‘Maxitron’ EP was immediately picked up by fellow Italian label ‘Nuhar Records’. Currently their third successive EP, entitled ‘Dancing Devils‘ recently caught the ear of Toronto’s MAR186 records head honcho and has been picked up by one of Canada’s leading labels. The Subjekts are about to take there ass shaking tech house / techno style out to the live arena and beyond.
