District 6 is the alias of London based artist Alistairr. Founded on the principles of taking house music back to its roots, District 6 presents itself with a first ep on the Raw Traxx's imprint. Alistairr was in fact born in Cape Town, South Africa; however, it was not until he moved to London where he was exposed to the local house scene and the talents of djs such as Terry Francis, Craig Richards and Steve Bug that he quickly realised his love of house music. Since then his record collection has grown rapidly to form the basis of his passion. The ep is unique in its approach, house music from a bygone era, retouched with a modern feel, created initially for friends, the ep represents not only a classic voyage of nostalgia but also is a personal thank you for all the memories shared within the infamous walls of Fabric club, London.
