Tennis Boy Blues war eine Berliner Band die die zwischen 1984 und 1985 zusammen war. Gründungsmitglieder waren Michael Schäumer (P1/E), die SF-Beat Radiomoderatorin und ehemaligen Dagowops Sängerin Monika Dietl und den japanischen Keyboard Wizard Yuji Kimura. Schon bald wurde die Band durch Mattus Simons (Der Moderne Man) verstärkt.

Die Band hatte einen umjubelten Auftritt in der Danceteria in New York und war im Finale des Senatsrockwettbewerbs in Berlin, wo sie sich der befreundeten Band Shark Vegas geschlagen geben musste. Trotzdem kam es zu einem Plattenvertag mit UFF Zick Records, dem Label von Soif De La Vie (Goddess Of Love). Die 12" Single "My Imagination" wird aber erst heute der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht.

Tennis Boy Blues was a Berlin band that was together between 1984 and 1985. Founding members were Michael Schäumer (P1/E), the SF-Beat radio presenter and former Dagowops singer Monika Dietl and the Japanese keyboard wizard Yuji Kimura. The band was soon joined by Mattus Simons (Der Moderne Man).

The band had a highly acclaimed performance at the Danceteria in New York and reached the finals of the Senate Rock Competition in Berlin, where they were defeated by their fellow band Shark Vegas. Nevertheless, the band got a record deal with UFF Zick Records, the label of Soif De La Vie (Goddess Of Love). The 12" single "My Imagination" is only released to the public today.
